Site description (2009 baseline):

Yamdrok Co is a highland lake with an area of 67,800 ha, with some agricultural land and villages nearly. It is becoming an important tourist attraction.

Non-bird biodiversity: No information.

This IBA overlaps with Yaluzangbu Nature Reserve (614,350 ha).
