Site description (2009 baseline)
The Yalu River flows westwards at its estuary. The main habitats in the IBA are reedbeds and tidal flats, with some areas of agricultural land. Many waterbirds, especially shorebirds, occur on migration, when more than 70,000 birds can be counted in one day during the peak.
