Site description (2009 baseline):

Located in the north-western part of Taishun County. The IBA is in the southern section of the Donggong Shan ridges, with the main submit Baiyunjian at 1,611 m.

Non-bird biodiversity: Nationally protected plants include Emmenopterys henryi, Bretschneidera sinensis and Fokienia hodginsii. Animals include Panthera pardus, Macaca mulatta and Capricornis sumatraensis.

Established as a provincial-level nature reserve in 1975, and upgraded to national nature reserve (18,862 ha) in 1995.
