Site description (2000 baseline)
A complex of brackish lagoons and two small reservoirs, generally with wide belts of emergent vegetation. They are surrounded by olive-groves and cereal cultivation.
Key biodiversity
This is an important area for breeding and wintering waterbirds, particularly Oxyura leucocephala.
