Site location and context
A small bog and wetland area in the midst of large fields. The wetland includes patches of open water, reedbeds (
Phragmites),
Salix thickets, and a small
Pinus forest.
Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria:
Crex crex (resident).
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
Research is being carried out on the biology of rails (Rallidae). There is long-term monitoring of bird migration.
