Site location and context

Located in Weiyuanjiang of Jinggu County, Simao City. The main habitat type is primary Simao Pine forest, mixed with evergreen broadleaf forest, scrub and riverine wetlands. Forest cover is c.90%.

Established as a prefecture-level nature reserve (7,653 ha) in 1983.
