Site description (2001 baseline):
Site location and context
Watershed of the Belskaya and Nugush rivers crossed with mountainous ridges.
Bird data is incomplete, more research is needed.
The mountain ridges and rocky river shores have good habitat for many breeding birds, while the humid grassland found along the rivers is ideal for local populations of Corncrake.
Conservation responses/actions for key biodiversity
Degree of overlap between protected areas and IBA is uncertain -- data needs confirmation.
