Site description (2009 baseline)
Located in Chifeng City, Harqin Qi. The main habitat in the IBA is secondary forest, and forest protection has allowed the regeneration of dense vegetation.

Key biodiversity

Non-bird biodiversity: Nationally protected animals include Panthera pardus, Selenarctos thibetanus and Cervus elaphus.
