Site description (2003 baseline)
There are 4 villages located on coast. Most people work as farmer and fisherman. Main plantation products are coconut for copra, cacao and coffee.

Key biodiversity
Wae Wufa, which is inside this area, has around 40-60 birds of Seram Cockatoo Cacatua moluccensis. Southern Cassowary Casuarius casuarius which is introduced to Seram Island also lives in this area (Isherwood 1997).

Non-bird biodiversity: Crocodilus porosus, Eretmochelys imbricata, Chelonia mydas and Cuora amboinensis (Isherwood et.al.1997)
