Site description (2003 baseline)
Wae Wuul is a grassland on the beach with several small group of forests (MacKinnon et.al.1982). Topography of Wae Wuul is hilly with steep slopes (around Gunung Manis), with the highest elevation 300 m asl.
Key biodiversity
The endangered Flores Crow Corvus florensis lives in this area. Yellow-crested Cockatoo Cacatua sulphurea found in this area un to 1989 (Mochtar 1989, Trainor & Lesmana 2000). Probably, the Yellow-crested Cockatoo came from Rinca Island.
