Site description (2001 baseline):
Site location and context
Area are characterised by rather flat depression limited by three rivers: Voronezh, Pal'noi Voronezh and Matyra. Area located on the boundaries of three regions of central European Russia and as a result is relatively undeveloped as well as difficult to reach.
Conservation responses/actions for key biodiversity
The creation of Federal Nature Reserve are planed for this IBA.
