Site location and context
An area of heathland and sand-dunes with small wetlands.
Once important for breeding
Tringa glareola, listed on Annex I of the EC Birds Directive, but the species no longer breeds at the site.
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
Heathland areas are being restored.

International High1,410 ha of IBA covered by Special Protection Area (Vangså Hede, 1,410 ha).
