Site location and context
The site contains marshes, wet meadows, alluvial forests,
Populus plantations, the River Oise, arable fields and hedgerows.
The most important breeding site for
Crex crex in northern France.
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The main threats are gravel extraction, the loss of wet meadows as a result of ploughing for conversion to arable cultivation, and afforestation with
Populus.
