Site location and context
An area of rivers, marshes, dry grassland, riverine forest, Populus groves and scrubland.



Key biodiversity
The alluvial islands support breeding terns and gulls. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Crex crex (breeding, passage).



Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The regulation of the river has led to the spread of vegetation to the alluvial islets, making them less attractive for breeding terns (`Other' threats, above).



Protected areas
National Partial International None300 ha of IBA covered by Hunting Reserve (300 ha).
