Site location and context
The site contains a river with oxbow lakes, a reservoir, riverine forest, marshes, reedbeds (Phragmites), Populus plantations and abandoned fields.



Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
Oxbow lakes are drying out as a result of being used to irrigate surrounding fields. Agricultural pollution and the extension of gravel-pits are the other main threats.
