Site description (1994 baseline)
An uninhabited, low, sandy island with sparse, salt-tolerant vegetation, mainly Salsola. The island is surrounded by intertidal sandflats on the south and east sides and a coral shelf elsewhere.
Key biodiversity
See box for key species. At least 30 pairs of Egretta gularis also breed.
