Site description (2000 baseline):

Two shallow lakes with surrounding reedbeds (Phragmites), Alnus/Fraxinus forest and meadows. Human activities include fishing, intensive haymaking and grazing.

The area of reedbed has diminished over the last ten years.

National Partial International HighIBA overlaps with Nature Reserve. IBA overlaps with Special Protection Area.
