Site location and context
Tra Cu bird Sanctuary is a very small bird sanctuary in the grounds of a Pagoda. Despite its size, it is one of the most important breeding colonies in the Mekong Delta. The site is protected and managed by the monks who live in the pagoda complex.
The site is a bird garden. The vegetation consists of a grove of big trees surrounded by bamboo.
