Site location and context
Plains to the north-west of Toledo dominated by non-irrigated arable cultivation.
This is an important site for breeding steppic species.
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
Agricultural intensification, particularly through the use of irrigation is a major threat. Two new reservoirs and irrigation channels are under construction.
