Site description (2000 baseline):
Site location and context
An area of plains dominated by cereal production, interspersed with small
Pinus woodlands.
This is an important area for breeding steppic species and raptors associated with
Pinus woodland. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria:
Falco naumanni (breeding).
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The main threats are from an increased use of irrigation, new road construction and a high hunting pressure.
