Site description (2000 baseline):
Site location and context
An area of plains, north of Salamanca, dominated by non-irrigated cereal crops and patches of
Quercus woodland.
This is an area important for steppic species.
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The main threats are from road construction, the impact of combine-harvesters on breeding
Circus pygargus, illegal hunting and powerlines.
