Site description (2004 baseline)
The IBA comprises Tonpariwat proposed wildlife sanctuary in the Khlong Saeng-Khao Sok Forest Complex. This forest complex is the largest contiguous forest block in southern Thailand. The site is contiguous with Khlong Phanom National Park to the north and east. The topography of the site is hilly, and several major streams originate within it. Lowland evergreen forest of various types and condition covers the site.

Key biodiversity
Little information is available about the importance of Tonipariwat proposed wildlife sanctuary for bird conservation. However, the site is known to support a population of the globally threatened Blue-banded Kingfisher Alcedo euryzona

Non-bird biodiversity: No information is available about other globally threatened species at the site.
