Site location and context
The site boundary is based upon a seaward extension of 25 km around Temoe to encompass high use and transit areas of IBA threshold numbers of Murphy's Petrel based upon a 2007 population estimate of 250 - 999 individuals from Thibault, JC. and Bretagnolle, V. (2007) Atlas des oiseaux marins nicheurs de Polynesie Francaise et du Groupe Pitcain. Societe d'Ornithologie de Polynesie, convention no6-0052, 30/09/2007.
