Human disturbance – Yes - All breeding grounds need to be legally protected and a code of practice adopted by local commercial charter-boat operators and fishers to minimise disturbance of colonies. It is recommended that no boat approach closer than 100m from colonies during breeding (March to August) (Van Eerden & Munsterman 2012).
