Site description (2000 baseline)
An area of regenerating arid Pinus canariensis forest located in the south-west of Gran Canaria. Human activities include livestock-farming and the collection of pine-needles for use in cultivation.

Key biodiversity
This is one of the priority areas to be improved for Fringilla teydea under the conservation programme. The species no longer breeds in the site, and reintroductions will take place.
