Site description (2009 baseline):

Located on the edge of Tailai County. It is a marshy area surrounded by sand dunes and grassland, and habitats include forestry woodland, reservoir, river and reedbeds.

Non-bird biodiversity: More than 20 species of mammals are recorded, including Canis lupus, Vulpes vulpes, Nyctereutes procyonoides, Arctonyx collaris, Mustela eversmanni and Ondatra zibethicus.

Established as a county-level nature reserve in 1999.
