Site description (2009 baseline):

The IBA is located in the central Qinling mountains. It is one of the longest-established nature reserves in China, and is a major tourist attraction.

Non-bird biodiversity: No information.

Established as a nature reserve in 1965, and upgraded to a national nature reserve in 1986.
