Site description (2006 baseline)
This site is located along the northeast coastline in Central Andros. The main settlements from north to south are, Stafford Creek, Staniard Creek, Coakley Town and Andros Town also known as Fresh Creek.
Key biodiversity
This is one of the few sites where all the Bahamas endemics can be found, Bahama Woodstar, Bahama Yellowthroat and Bahama Swallow. This is a great site to find most of the resident Bahama birds including Great Lizard-Cuckoo, Zenaida Dove, Key West Quail-Dove, Cuban Emerald, Greater Antillean Bullfinch, Cuban Pewee and many others. It is also an excellent location to observe migrant warblers and shorebirds.
