Site location and context
A heterogeneous, sparsely populated lowland landscape with many water-bodies.
Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria:
Crex crex (10 calling males).
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
There is an EU-funded project to restore and encourage extensive use of the small water-bodies. NABU owns 100 ha of important humid grassland (KV Lübben Spreewald).

International PartialIBA overlaps with Landscape Protected Area and Nature Reserve. IBA overlaps with Biosphere Reserve.
