Site description (2000 baseline)
A lake in the Samara river valley, with a sandy shore. The vegetation is dominated by reedbeds Phragmites and meadows. Human activities include cattle-grazing and recreation.

Key biodiversity
Breeding species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Crex crex (2-3 pairs).
