The area includes broadleaved forests, meadows, hedgerows, bocages, ponds, rivers and marshes.



Key biodiversity
The site is important for breeding and wintering waterbirds. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Aythya nyroca (passage, wintering); Haliaeetus albicilla (passage, wintering); Aquila clanga (wintering); Acrocephalus paludicola (passage).



Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The major reported threats include agricultural pollution (pesticides and fertilizers) and disturbance caused by hunting and fishing.
