Site location and context
The main characteristic of the delta is the river flow almost in straight line to the coastal area (Erftemeijer & Djuharsa 1988)
Most of area is salt ponds (Anon 1993), and the rest is degradated mangrove forest and sand dune (Whitten
et.al.1996).
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
Wildlife hunting, egg collection, and water pollution (Erftemeijer & Djuharsa 1988).
