Site description (2000 baseline):
Site location and context
The area includes a gorge of the River Ebro, with cliffs and slopes covered by
Fagus and
Quercus woodland, scrub and
Pinus plantations. The main human activities are arable agriculture, livestock-farming and hunting.
This is an important area for resident raptors.
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The major threats are from intensive forestry operations and a high hunting pressure. Threats are also posed by the erection of powerlines.
