Site description (2000 baseline):

The valleys of the Schwalm and Nette rivers, comprising Pinus forest, wet forest, heathland, wet grassland, lakes, sand-dunes and bog.

Threats include water pollution (`Other' threat), river/stream regulation, and vegetation succession.

National Partial International PartialIBA overlaps with Nature Reserves. IBA overlaps with Special Protection Area.
