Site location and context
A shallow bay of the Baltic Sea situated near to Stockholm.



Key biodiversity
Sandemar is important as a stop-over site for passage wildfowl. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Haliaeetus albicilla (resident).



Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The shoreline was recently restored and a large proportion is now grazed, benefiting birds that feed at the site.



Protected areas
National Partial International NoneIBA overlaps with Nature Reserve (Sandemar, 387 ha).
