Site description (2000 baseline):

The IBA contains saltmarshes, ponds, brackish marshes, reedbeds (Phragmites), coastal dunes and sandy beaches.

The site is important for breeding waders and wintering waterbirds.

The main threats are high hunting pressure, urbanization, tourism and road construction.
