Site description (2009 baseline):

The IBA includes the estuaries of the Han Jiang, Rong Jiang and Lian Jiang rivers. This was historically an area of mangrove forest, but this was destroyed by reclamation. Tens of thousands of waterbirds pass through the IBA on migration.
