Site location and context
A rocky peninsula covered with phrygana and other low scrub.



Key biodiversity
The area is important for passage migrants and breeding raptors. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Haliaeetus albicilla (wintering).



Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The main threat is from hunting. Part of the area is a candidate SAC.



Protected areas
National Partial International None2,300 ha of IBA covered by Wildlife Refuge (Riaka-Piaki-Ormos Menies/Afraton-Rodopou, 2,300 ha).
