Site description (2000 baseline):
Site location and context
The site includes conifer forests, riverine forest along the River Moros and some grassland and arable cultivation. The main human activities are arable cultivation, livestock-farming and hunting.
This is an important site for breeding raptors and breeding
Ciconia ciconia. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria:
Aegypius monachus (non-breeding).
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The main threats are increasing sand extraction, increasing disturbance from traffic and the clearance of forest.
