Site location and context
A high mountain area with alpine meadows, mixed forests, cliffs, scree and mountain rivers. Hunting and recreational activities take place throughout the site.



Key biodiversity
An important site for raptors, gamebirds, and woodpeckers.



Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
Hunting and recreational activities cause much disturbance, the latter also resulting in habitat destruction, through the construction of roads, ski installations and housing.



Protected areas
National Partial International None4,000 ha of IBA covered by National Park (Parc national des Pyrénées, 45,700 ha).
