Site description (2003 baseline)
The name of this area is comes from the name of a close by village that only around 500 m away. Most of the people in this village work as farmer. The main comodity are coconut, cacao, clove and sago.

Key biodiversity
Only few records of Drummer Rail recently, and status of this species is still undecided because the information is limited(BirdLife International 2001). This area considered as important site for the Drummer Rail (Bagali 1996).Population of Chattering Lory Lorius garrulus in this area is decreasing because of logging and bird catching for trade (BirdLife International 2001).
