Site description (2000 baseline)
A bay with mudflats, rocky coastlines and beaches. Human activities include fishing, recreation (including sailing) and there is a harbour.
Key biodiversity
The site holds 20,000 or more waterbirds in winter, on a regular basis (including Podiceps nigricollis 1,900; Anas penelope 2,270; Calidris alpina 4,815).
