Qingliangfeng Nature Reserve (Zhejiang)


Site description (2009 baseline):

Site location and context
Zhejiang Qingliangfeng National Nature Reserve is located in the western part of Lin’an City, and is part of the northern section of the Baiji mountain ranges between Zhejiang and Anhui provinces. At 1,787.4 m, Qingliangfeng is the highest point in the IBA and in north-western Zhejiang.

Key biodiversity

Non-bird biodiversity: Nationally protected plants include Psedolarix kaempferi and Liriodendron chinense. Animals include Panthera pardus, Neofelis nebulosa, Capricornis sumatraensis and Cervus nippon.



Conservation responses/actions for key biodiversity
Established as a nature reserve in 1985, and upgraded to a national nature reserve (10,800 ha) in 1997.
