Qingliangfeng Nature Reserve (Anhui)

Site location and context
Qingliangfeng is the second highest peak in southern Anhui, and is the main peak in the Tianmu Shan ranges.

Key biodiversity

Non-bird biodiversity: Nationally protected plants include Psedolarix kaempferi, Liriodendron chinense, Cercidiphyllum japonicum, Emmenopterys henryi and Ginkgo biloba. Animals include Panthera pardus, Neofelis nebulosa, Cervus nippon, Selenarctos thibetanus and Manis pentadactyla.



Conservation responses/actions for key biodiversity
The IBA is protected in two provincial-level nature reserves, Jixi Qingliangfeng Nature Reserve (3,000 ha) and Shexian Qingliangfeng Nature Reserve (1,000 ha), which were established in 1982 and 1986 respectively in two adjacent counties.
