Site description (2009 baseline):

Located in Mianyang City, including Chaping Xiang and Gaochuan Xiang of Anxian County, Wu’an Xiang of Beichuan County, Guangming Xiang, Fushun Xiang, Tumen Xiang and Dongxing Xiang of Maoxian, Aba Prefecture.

Non-bird biodiversity: Giant Panda, Sichuan Snub-nosed Langur, Takin and Asiatic Black Bear are found in the area.

Established as a provincial-level nature reserve in 1993, and upgraded to a national nature reserve (17,710 ha) in 2006.
