Site description (2000 baseline)
Situated in the mountainous north of Sweden, the site covers a valley containing lakes and marshes. The extensive tracts of coniferous forest are mainly old, with regeneration occurring following forest fires.

Key biodiversity
The site is important for breeding waterbirds, raptors and waders. Breeding species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Anser erythropus, Haliaeetus albicilla and Gallinago media.
