Site location and context
There are 6 villages in this island. Part of the island still covered by forest (85%).
Flores Green Pigeon
Treron floris is common in this island on altitude between 100-350 m asl (Butchart
et.al.1996, Dwi Lesmana personal communication.).
Degradated mangrove, beach forest and deciduous monsoon forest (Butchart
et.al.1996).
3000 ha of this area has been declared as Recreation Park based on SK No. 126/Kpts-II/1987 (Anon 1998).
