Site description (2000 baseline):
Site location and context
A group of islands covered with maquis and phrygana and few trees. The main activities include fishing and stock-raising and some tourism.
The site is important for breeding seabirds, and breeding and passage raptors. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria:
Falco naumanni (passage).
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The main threat is from intensive illegal hunting. Overfishing, disturbance and introduced cats and rats are also problems.
