Site description (2000 baseline):

This is an important site for woodland birds, particularly breeding raptors. It is also one of the most important breeding sites in France for Bonasa bonasia.

The development of tourism and recreation activities, such as climbing, are significant threats.

National Low International None135 ha of IBA covered by Nature Reserve (Vireux-Molhain, 135 ha).
