Site description (2019 baseline)
The IBA is located in the Nisava valley, which, as an integral component of the significant Morava-Nisava-Marica valley and it divides eastern from south-eastern Serbia. The area is dominated by extensive farmland, with small parcels of diverse crops occupying more than half of the IBA. The landscape is very heterogeneous and represents a mosaic of arable land, deciduous forest groves, shrubland, meadows and orchards, especially towards the hilly areas in the northern part of the IBA. More forested areas can be found in the eastern parts, towards the foothills of Vidlic mountain and in the western parts of the IBA towards Belava mountain.
